How to mobba

mobba.com unites like-minded shoppers for great deals on a specific item. We call this group of buyers a mobba. And the bigger the mobba, the bigger the savings.

This is how it works:

1. Register for an account with mobba.

2. Start by searching for items on mobba.com. Once you find a product you like, you have three options:
1) Start a mobba by making an offer for that product
2) Join a mobba that is currently in progress by making an offer on that product
3) Sign-up to receive alerts on that product. When a mobba forms, you'll be notified by email.

3. As a shopper, enter the maximum amount you're willing to pay, including any applicable sales tax. Good news, you will never pay more than the maximum amount you offer! Please note, shipping and handling costs are extra.

4. As your mobba grows, so does your chance at scoring even bigger savings. So tell all your friends about the mobba you've joined. We've added a variety of ways for you to spread the word through your social networks.

5. If you cancel your order after your offer is accepted but prior to the seller shipping the merchandise, you will be charged a small pre-determined escrow amount. Why does mobba do this? The beauty of mobba as a marketplace is that sellers trade margin for volume sales. If they know you, as a shopper, are committed to the sale, they will be more likely to bid a lower price. This escrow fee ensures your commitment, protects other buyers and compensates the seller for canceled orders. Please note, you will not be charged this escrow fee if you cancel your order before the mobba closes or if no seller matches your offer price.

6. Once mobba finds a seller who will meet or beat your price, a hold will be placed on your credit card equal to the amount of the sale, plus shipping. Once the seller is ready to ship your product, your credit card will be charged that amount and the product will be shipped.

7. Once the mobba closes, shoppers are matched up with seller bids. If no sellers bid on the item at or below your maximum price, or if there isn’t enough seller inventory to satisfy all shoppers in the mobba, you will have no remaining obligations. Even if this mobba didn't work out for you, don't worry - simply start or join another mobba and try again!

8. Sellers have up to five calendar days from the time the mobba closes to ship the items.
