1. What is a mobba?

A mobba is a group of two or more shoppers who have joined together to use their buying power and get a deal on the same item. Sellers can bid on any or all of the quantities requested by the mobba’s members. mobbas have a defined period of time to grow, before bids will be accepted. And there is a set period of time in which bidding can take place.

2. When can I bid on a mobba?

During the first two days of a mobba forming, retailers will not be able to place bid. Bidding will begin on the third day, at which point, you can bid any price you’d like on as many of the items as requested.

3. Will I know what other retailers have bid?

You will only be shown the lowest bid submitted. By knowing the lowest bid, you’ll be able to determine where to place your bid.

4. Can I change my bids?

Yes, you can change your bids at any time before the mobba closes.

5. Will I know the winning bid prices?

Unfortunately you’ll only know if you’ve won part or all of the mobba’s orders. We keep all winning bids confidential.

6. How long do I have to ship my winning orders?

After being notified that you’ve won a sale on mobba.com, you’ll have five calendar days to ship the merchandise. Once shipped, you’ll enter the tracking number into the "Sales History" area of your Seller’s Homepage, and payment will be released.

7. Can I post my inventory?

You will not have access to mobba.com to post your own inventory. However, you can request items to be included in mobba’s product list by clicking the “Request an Item” button.

8. Do I account for sales tax when I bid?

No, please submit your bids excluding any possible sales tax.

9. How will I know if a mobba is forming on an item I sell?

There are two ways to know about new mobbas. First, you can check the “Trading Desk” on your Seller Homepage for all forming mobbas. Or sign up for mobba alerts – we’ll send you daily emails that highlight new mobbas on the items you sell. Sign up by clicking the "Alerts" button on your Seller Homepage.

10. Who pays for shipping?

The buyer will pay for the shipping. Each item featured on mobba.com states a shipping price. The cost of shipping will be collected from the buyer and forwarded to the winning retailer to cover the expense.
